My Story

Where it all began

After graduating from University with a first-class degree in design I began my visual merchandising career on the shop floor at Marks and Spencer. I learnt so much in this role and my passion for VM and Styling really came to the forefront.

I gained further experience working within the WHSmith head office as a display planner which gave me more technical computer-based layout skills before returning to Marks and Spencer as a manager.

Through this commercial experience I gained a real understanding of how a store runs, how communications and guidelines land, the importance of brilliant training (so shop floor teams are brought on the journey from head office), as well as putting the customer first when making visual decisions considering how they will shop an environment and how to best engage and inspire them.

Exciting and inspiring work

National Trust is where I led the Visual Merchandising strategy within the retail team. This role was so diverse and all-encompassing enabling me to design layouts and stores, style photoshoots, create training programmes, toolkits, windows, fixtures, POS and so much more.

I’m incredibly proud of being part of developing National Trust retail into lifestyle stores rather than just gift shops.

My most recent role has been with Katie Loxton and Joma Jewellery where I have designed and styled showrooms for the B2B wholesale part of the business.

I have also designed and managed window installations to bring their stores to life through storytelling and careful curation of props, fixtures, graphics and copy to encourage footfall and convert customers.

Working across two brands in both the UK and US markets has given me the skill to manage multiple priorities whilst still injecting creative solutions and outcomes into every element of the role.

A love of interiors

Alongside the Visual Merchandising elements of my career, I have also styled interiors and worked on many photoshoots utilising my keen eye for detail and understanding of brand identities and aesthetics to truly bring a vision to life carefully and thoughtfully.

I’m an all-round creative and love sewing, DIY, illustration and interior design.

With a wide network of contacts which I have built over the years there’s no project too big or too small and I would love to explore how I can support you and your vision.
